Hedendaagse Sieraden put my Brooch “Compass” on a stamp.
You can order it here: https://hedendaagsesieraden.nl/.../nieuwe-postzegels-met.../
and send your Dutch post with it.
Thank you @hedendaagsesieraden and Esther Doornbusch, I am super proud!
My thoughts on this brooch:
“As far as I know, Esther intuitively made her choice based on the shape. When I looked up the title in my little workbook it suddenly made sense: “Compass”. The four circles -as the directions of the four winds- rotating, moving along each other, calibrating. We all have a Compass inside us we are following. We all have a few principles we follow in life. Recently this is keeping me very busy, finding my authentic self and my own voice to express my thoughts and way of thinking, my own real Compass. Also in my work I am following an intuitive ‘line’ that helps me make the decisions along the making process. My choices are based on intuition but also on a few rules I set for myself a long time ago: ornament always has to have a practical/ functional purpose. It so happens that artistic choices collide to also be design or functional choices at the same time. I believe – and have read some about it that supports this thought- that intuition is based on the collection of earlier experiences. So it is not ‘only’ a feeling as many might think, but -as I believe it at least- a feeling that is based on facts. “
Two finished necklaces that I started in 2020 and finally added the finishing touches so I could make pictures of them too.
